The director of metallurgy and steel production methods at Mobarakeh presented;

Safe transportation of oil and gas by producing API X60 steel coils from Mobarakeh Steel; reasonable price and high resistance of this grade to corrosion

me-metals: Alireza Molavizadeh, Director of Metallurgy and Production Methods at Mobarakeh Steel, said on the sidelines of the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition: For years, Mobarakeh Steel focused on producing slabs for oil and gas transmission lines, but in the last 2 years, it has also been able to introduce hot coil products to the market.

According to me-metals, last year, the company succeeded in producing a special API X52 MS coil, which is designed for transporting oil and gas in corrosive and sour gas environments. The company's latest achievement is the API X60 grade, which is widely used in sour gas environments. The production of these grades is very complex and requires compliance with specific requirements in the steelmaking process, including controlling the amount of hydrogen, sulfur, impurities and separation parameters, lamination and special tests.

To produce this grade, Mobarakeh Steel has used many innovations in the hot rolling stage. Mobarakeh Steel has also been able to design and produce this product using simulation software and hardware and advanced equipment such as hot rolling and hot pressing machines. This grade is widely used in oil and gas transmission pipes, especially in gas fields and offshore, which require high corrosion resistance for gas and oil transmission.

In the design of these pipes, special attention has been paid to sustainability and environmental issues, so that their useful life is increased and corrosion resistance is guaranteed. The main goal is to provide a product at a reasonable price compared to foreign models.
