According to me-metals, he listed facilitating rail transportation and resolving existing issues between the two sides as the most important goals of this visit, and said: "Fortunately, good decisions were made to increase cargo transportation and mutual facilities, and it is hoped that these measures will help increase production at Mobarakeh Steel Co. and reduce problems with cargo transportation from the Sangan and Chadormal regions."
Emphasizing that Mobarakeh Steel, as one of the best and largest manufacturing companies in the country, is operating at full capacity and has taken extensive measures in the areas of water, electricity, and the use of renewable energy, he stated: "We will try to provide better conditions for this company in the field of rail transportation."
Mohammad Yaser Tayebnia, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company, also said on the sidelines of the visit of the CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railway Company to the company: "Steel is one of the key industries in the country, and the costs of transporting raw materials and its products play a pivotal role in the competitiveness and economy of this industry, and the country's economy and industrialization are fundamentally dependent on transportation infrastructure, especially rail transportation."
He emphasized: "In the steel industry, for each ton of steel produced, we need at least three times the movement of raw materials and products; therefore, it is necessary that infrastructure be created in the field of transportation, especially rail and sea transportation."
Tayebnia emphasized that over the past three decades, large investments have been made in our country to increase capacity in the steel industry, and today the steel industry is considered one of the country's strengths. He said: "Certainly, if we were not facing energy imbalances in the fields of electricity and gas today, our main challenge would be transportation."
He pointed out that in the past few years, the challenges of energy imbalance have surpassed transportation and continued: "In these circumstances, an opportunity has been created to resolve the challenges of transportation infrastructure, especially rail transportation, within the next two to three years; fortunately, there is a serious determination in the government and the railway complex to reform the past path in this area, and the future successes of industries such as Mobarakeh Steel are certainly due to the events and reforms that must be made in the transportation sector."
The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel, calling the meeting with the CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways useful, and noting that in the past, more than 90 percent of Mobarakeh Steel's products and raw materials were transported by rail, and this figure has decreased to 50 percent today, continued: "Fortunately, agreements were made in today's meeting to increase rail transportation, and we hope to reach the standards in this field in a short period of time."
