Saeed Zarandi, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, visited Sangan Steel:

Supporting projects and looking ahead at Sangan Steel Company

me-metals: Sangan Steel has always been moving forward and, with the vision it has designed for its future, is seeking to achieve a suitable position in this field in the world; naturally, it is important for Sangan Steel to determine its position in regional competitions, so it must seek sustainable growth.

According to me-metals, Mobarakeh Steel's vision is to be among the top 20 steelmakers in the world, but we are not only looking to improve production volume, but added value is also important to us; we must have a position where the value of our export products has a special place in the world, so we expect progress in various dimensions.

In the field of steelmaking, we are looking for higher quality products, and the production of electrical sheets is defined in this direction. Without a doubt, all of this depends on the balanced development of the components of the production chain; our strategy is to ensure that the entire production chain is balanced, and our effort is to move faster in this field.

To achieve this goal, it is necessary to seriously enter the mining and upstream sectors; one of our weaknesses is the lack of certainty about sustainable production feedstock, and therefore we are looking to seriously enter the production of pellets, concentrates, and mine development.

There are two promising areas in the mining sector, one of which is the Sangan region. Today, more than 10 million tons of concentrate and pellets are being produced in this complex, and we are looking to continue moving in this direction in future investments; Hormozgan Steel Company is another of our capacities and we must move towards creating mining megamodules.

Our plan is to support the projects and forward-looking vision of Sangan Steel Company in the mining sector; the projects that were raised in today's meeting have been given our attention and priority. Also, investment in the power plant sector and the existing God-given capacities are of great importance. I would like to emphasize that Mobarakeh Steel is ready to support Sangan Steel's projects.

A reassessment of the entire region must be carried out, for which reason our mining holding in the Mobarakeh Group will be strengthened and structured; our exploration area has also been registered and is seriously seeking new discoveries; we must invest with the Opal Group in joint initiatives in the field of transportation, such as the purchase of mining machinery.

One of our challenges in the mining sector is the exploration sector, because we are far from global standards, which of course is also seen in the field of mining machinery.
