me-metals: The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group considered the recent progress and positive developments in Hormozgan Province to be the result of the national vision, the strategic policies of the Supreme Leader, and the special attention of the 14th government and the esteemed President to investment development.
According to me-metals cited by Mobarakeh Steel Co., on the second day of his visit to Hormozgan Province, Saeed Zarandi, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, met with the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hormozgan Province and the Friday Imam of Bandar Abbas.
He considered the representative of the Supreme Leader's support for the industry a point of support and encouragement for industrial managers.
He added that, considering the recent progress and positive developments in Hormozgan Province, it should be said that these achievements are the result of the national macro-vision, the strategic policies of the Supreme Leader, and the special attention of the 14th government and the esteemed President to the development of investment.
He added: "Mobarakeh Steel is the largest steelmaker in the Middle East and a proud product and brand of the Islamic Revolution. This industrial group, which produces nearly one-third of the country's steel, has the production chain "from ore to color" including all stages from ore, pelletizing, DRI and melting to the production of high-value-added sheets. Today, Iran's steel production is about 30 million tons, of which 11 million tons is the share of Mobarakeh Steel Group and the capacity expansion carried out in this large industrial group."
Zarandi continued: "Mobarakeh Steel Group has ongoing projects in 15 provinces of the country, and Hormozgan province is one of the main investment centers of this group through Hormozgan Steel, the massive Setareh Simin project, and other comprehensive projects. Given the Supreme Leader's guidelines on maximizing the use of sea capacity, the prospect of developing high-value-added products on the coasts of Makran and Bandar Abbas is of great importance. The transportation problem is one of the main challenges for the future of the steel industry, and we must manage our facilities and capital with the least amount of transportation."
Further, regarding the need to optimize the logistics chain, he said: "We are planning to distribute export products mainly among units in a way that they are exported from closer sources, thereby reducing the traffic load on the country's roads and reducing excessive fuel consumption." Mobarakeh Steel Group has an active investment of nearly 270 million euros in Hormozgan Province. According to the meetings to monitor the production status and financing of this group's projects in Hormozgan, with the wisdom of the managers of this province and the continuous support of the governor's office, we were able to maintain the progress of the projects in a situation where many countries were facing serious production problems.
He added: "We are trying to complete two major sponge iron production projects in Hormozgan Province, which fortunately have progressed by about 50 to 60 percent so far, and accelerating the operation of these projects will prevent increased costs. Mobarakeh Steel Group is interested in continuing its active presence and investment in Hormozgan Province and using the port capacities of this province to develop exports. Given the bright future of the country's coastal regions, we hope that with appropriate planning and scientific procedures, we will witness increasing attraction of investors and greater prosperity of Islamic Iran, especially Hormozgan Province."
In conclusion, the CEO of the Mobarakeh Steel Group stated that on the eve of the Sacred Defense Week, we honor the memory of the brave commanders of the Islamic Revolution and the precious martyrs and consider the responsibility of managers towards these sacrifices to be heavier than in the past; the unwavering support of the High Representative of the Government in Hormozgan Province, as well as the effective synergy between the industrial units of the Group and the provincial complexes, is commendable.
