According to me-metals cited by Mes Press, Hossein Pourshahnazari, head of process control at the slag condensation plant of the Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex, stated that these innovations have significantly improved the performance of the semi-self-breaking mill, adding: In this design, curved liners (Vortex or Helix) were implemented in the inlet wall, outlet network, and pulp elevators, and at the same time, body liners with a non-uniform design and an optimal lift angle were also used.
Pointing out that this project was carried out in cooperation with the Kashigar Mineral Processing Research Center, he stated: "A 30 percent increase in mill's input capacity, a significant reduction in energy consumption per ton of input feed, as well as a reduction in liner failures and the resulting shutdowns are just some of the benefits of this national project."
Pourshahnazari continued: Improving the shot throwing pattern, increasing crushing efficiency, reducing material retention time, reducing uneven wear of liners, more uniform load distribution, and optimizing the shot chain, followed by reducing shot consumption in mill, are other achievements of this technology that have led to operational stability and economic savings.
