According to me-metals, on Monday, January 7, at a brainstorming meeting between Mobarakeh Steel Company and members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Manufacturers of Steel Pipes and Transmission Lines, Mohammad Yasser Tayebnia, referring to Mobarakeh Steel's serious determination and complete readiness to meet the maximum needs of national water, oil, and gas transmission projects, said: "This can resolve the concern of providing the raw materials needed by pipe manufacturers in the steel pipe production chain and lead to the prosperity and growth of this industry."
He said: "For my part, I would like to thank the participation of steel pipe manufacturing companies in carrying out construction projects and the role these companies have played in creating value for the country."
The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company added: "In addition to helping provide drinking water to the central and desert regions of the country, implementing national water transfer projects can significantly contribute to the sustainability of Mobarakeh Steel's downstream industries, as well as creating new employment opportunities and maintaining existing employment."
Referring to the implementation of previous joint projects in cooperation with members of the Association of Steel Pipe and Transmission Line Coating Manufacturers, Tayebnia stated: "We hope that in the future, by allocating appropriate credits and injecting the required financial resources, we will witness maximum use of these quantitative and qualitative capacities in the construction of transmission lines."
Also, during the meeting, Valiollah Mahabadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Steel Pipe and Transmission Line Coating Manufacturers, while raising the concerns of the members of this association, criticized the quota allocation method of the optimization system and the inadequacy of quota allocation and the use of existing capacities in pipe-making companies, and called for creating conditions for purchasing in the form of long-term letters of credit for the members of this association.
Reza Heydari, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Mobarakeh Steel Company, also stated in the meeting: This meeting was implemented as part of Mobarakeh Steel's comprehensive customer relationship program in 1403, following a series of meetings held with customers.
Stating that "1402 solar year" (2023-2024) was a very good year in terms of activating projects to transfer seawater to central regions as well as regional water transfer projects, he added: "This happened with the cooperation and support of Mobarakeh Steel in supplying the sheets for these projects, and fortunately, the implementation of these projects was carried out at a good pace last year."
The Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing of Mobarakeh Steel Company stated that in 1403, due to restrictions in the financing sector and banking problems, the speed of these projects decreased somewhat, adding: Although Mobarakeh Steel Company has always announced its readiness to meet the needs of steel sheets required for water transmission projects since the beginning of this year, recently pipe manufacturing companies have raised concerns regarding the demands they have from water transmission projects.
He added: "Today, these concerns were raised in this meeting with the presence of the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mobarakeh Steel Company, and it was decided that during joint meetings with the Ministry of Security and the Ministry of Energy, the problems of pipe-making companies would be raised and the necessary follow-up would be carried out until results were achieved and effective solutions were found."
Heidari continued: "We hope that conditions will be created so that companies producing steel pipes and covering water transmission lines can use their full capacity in producing pipes to carry out fluid transmission projects, including water, gas, etc."
In the continuation of this meeting, the CEOs of member companies of the Association of Steel Pipe and Transmission Line Coating Manufacturers presented their views and concerns, including their demands for national water transmission projects, as well as the inequity in the distribution of raw materials in the Bahinyab system.
