According to me-metals, it is worth mentioning that during this visit, opportunities for cooperation with the Mobarakeh Steel Group regarding the use of the capacity of this wharf were reviewed and discussed. Himco wharf is one of the projects in the field of maritime and port transportation of the country, with the aim of creating a specialized mechanized mineral terminal, developing unloading and loading piers, and equipping it with facilities in the field of road, rail, and sea transportation. This complex, centered on the Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, has provided the opportunity to facilitate the export and import of mineral products, especially steel.
The assessment of the capacities of the Himco wharf was carried out with several goals: first, to facilitate the export of steel products and better access to international markets; second, to reduce logistics costs and improve supply chain efficiency; and third, to create sustainable infrastructure on the path towards green production and global competitiveness. The visit of the CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group to this wharf in Bandar Abbas is an important step towards synergy between the steel industries and the country's maritime transportation sector.
It is worth noting that on the second day of the working trip of the CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group to Hormozgan Province, Saeed Zarandi, along with the head of the Hormozgan Province's Smat Organization and Alireza Rahim, CEO of Hormozgan Steel, visited the Himco wharf, a visit that demonstrates the Mobarakeh Steel Group's special view of the capacities of ports and their role in strengthening exports and developing the country's logistics infrastructure.
