POSCO held 'IP Festival 2015' under the theme 'POSCO the Great, beyond the crisis'

- Overcoming crisis through continuous innovation through POSTIM - Sharing outcomes and best cases of POSTIM and awarding prizes

POSCO held IP(Innovation POSCO) Festival 2015 which shares outcomes and best cases of POSTIM, POSCO's unique innovation methodology. Under the theme of 'POSCO the Great, beyond the crisis', the event was held at Baekwoon Art Hall in Gwangyang connecting Seoul, Songdo and Pohang via live video streaming. Over 1800 POSCO family employees and executives shared the outcome of POSTIM (POSCO Total Innovation Methodology) for this year and made a resolution to overcome crisis through continuous innovations.

This year's event emphasized that the present difficulties can be overcome by concentrating on customers and work sites through realization of the current situation and crisis and actively applying POSTIM to the field.

Attendees shared the outcome and best cases of POSTIM by its categories such as #PSS+(POSCO Six Sigma Plus) #QSS+ (Quality Stability Safety Plus) and #SWP (Smart Work Place) conducted by POSCO, group affiliates, overseas affiliates and outsourced partners.

In the following 'Excellent Project Idea Competition', creative ideas that can contribute to the growth of profit were presented. Attendees evaluated the ideas while watching the presentation and agreed that anyone can think of great ideas.

At the awards ceremony, the main event of IP Festival, prizes were given to excellent individuals and teams who made great achievement for the this year through POSTIM. Among top 35 prize candidates, PJT team who constructed high profit increased production PO system received a special prize no.2.

AT the end of the event, attended revisited the meaning of '上下同欲者勝' which means 'Any organization which is animated by the same spirit throughout all its ranks will win,' and made a resolution to overcome the crisis.

In his general comment, CEO, Kwon Oh-joon said, ``We all have to constantly innovate and communicate using POSTIM, POSCO's unique innovation methodology, as a tool.`` He also asked employees to perform innovative activities by joining forces together to overcome the current crisis.
