According to me-metals cited by Mes Press, Dr. Seyed Mohammad Atabak, accompanied by Dr. Mohammad Masoud Sameinejad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMIDRO, and a group of senior managers of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, visited the National Iranian Copper Industries Company's booth at the Iran Conmin 2025 exhibition and were informed of the latest status of the company's development projects.
Dr. Seyed Mostafa Feyz, CEO of the National Copper Industries Company, announced during this visit: The exploitation of 9 development projects with an estimated investment value of approximately 589 million Euros will be pursued in 2025.
He added: “These plans cover a wide range of areas including core supply chain, energy and water infrastructure, environment, raw material supply and social responsibility.”
The CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) mentioned two mega projects, the third phase of the Sungun concentration with a capacity of 450,000 tons of concentrate and the Sungun cathode project with a capacity of 200,000 tons of cathode and a total investment of 1.13 billion Euros, which have made significant progress.
He added: The physical progress of the third phase of the Sungun concentration during the first six months of Iranian Year (1404 solar year) compared to the second half of previous Iranian Year (1403 solar year) has increased from 7.9 to 9.61 percent and the cathode project from 7.9 to 8.94 percent.
The CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company announced the unlocking of the Phase 3 project of the Midouk concentration plant and added: The Phase 3 project of the Midouk with a capacity of 350,000 tons of copper concentrate has entered the active implementation phase after removing technical obstacles and selecting a foreign technologist.
He continued: This project, which is one of the company's important development projects, has so far made 19 percent of total progress and its engineering stages are progressing rapidly.
It is worth mentioning that the National Iranian Copper Industries Company's booth in Hall A25, as one of the flagship booths of this edition of the exhibition, hosts specialized visitors, experts, and mining industry activists by presenting the latest projects, technological products, and digital transformation programs.
