According to me-metals cited by Mes Press, NICICO announced in a report that the company's total five-month sales by July-August 2025 had reached 79 trillion Tomans, a figure that has recorded a significant growth of 38 percent compared to 58 trillion Tomans in the same period in 2024.
The National Iranian Copper Industries Company managed to record sales of 19 trillion Tomans in July-August 2025. Of this amount, 18 trillion Tomans was for the domestic market and 873 billion Tomans was for export.
Total domestic exports during the first five months of this Iranian year reached 13 trillion Tomans, equivalent to 16 percent of total sales. These exports mainly included cathodes and semi-finished copper products for global markets.
Copper cathodes continue to be the beating heart of NICICO's revenue. In July-August 2025, cathodes played a pivotal role in the company's revenue, accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales and 56 percent of total five-month sales. During this period, 61,000 tons of cathodes were sold at an average selling price of 7.280 million Rials, representing a 40 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
