Mobarakeh Steel is a pioneer in the development of renewable energies with combined cycle and solar power plants

Me-Metals: The Chief Technical Services and Support Manager of Mobarakeh Steel stated: This company has taken effective steps towards the development of renewable energy by using combined cycle and solar power plants. Mobarakeh Steel combined cycle power plant with its 58% efficiency is known as one of the pioneers of the clean energy industry in the country.

According to MeMetals, Mohammad Kazem Sabaghi ​​Harandi, the senior director of technical services and support of Mobarakeh Steel, in the specialized panel "Clean Energy for a Green Future" held at the 21st Iran Metafo Exhibition, referring to the limitations of supplying energy to industries in the cold season, said: Every year, industries face serious problems in energy supply, and these restrictions practically limit the production of industries to three months. These challenges have prompted industries to switch to renewable energy.

Sabbaghi ​​Harandi further pointed to Mobarakeh Steel's progress in the field of renewable energy and said: So far, this company has introduced two phases of the 914 MW combined cycle power plant into the production circuit. With an efficiency of 58%, this power plant is considered one of the most efficient power plants in the country.

He also informed about the new projects of Mobarake Steel in the field of energy and said: This company is developing two 600 megawatt solar power plants and a wind power plant. It will provide part of its energy needs from these renewable sources. Also, by using these power plants, about 2 million tons of carbon will be reduced annually.

Sabbaghi ​​Harandi went on to discuss the benefits of using clean energy and stated: Solar and wind power plants not only reduce the consumption of natural gas, but also help to increase the production and quality of products. This year, Mobarakeh Steel managed to maintain the same level of production as last year and in some sectors even increased its production by 11%.

In the continuation of this meeting, Mohammad Reza Jafarzadeh, CEO of Sanap, emphasized the effective role of Mobarakeh Steel in the development of renewable energy and said: Mobarakeh Steel has established its position as one of the pioneers of the renewable energy industry. He also pointed out the features of this power plant and added: Aftab Sharq is the first large-scale solar power plant in the country, which was built with internal design and the use of world-renowned technologies.

Jafarzadeh further announced the beginning of the study phases of the 200 MW wind power plant and expressed his hope that this project will be successful. He also pointed to the developing capacity of Sanap in the field of renewable energy and added: Sanap currently has a capacity of 800 megawatts of renewable energy under development and our goal is to provide 2 thousand megawatts of renewable energy in the future.

At the end of his speech, the CEO of Sanap emphasized the importance of green steel and said: Among the various components of green steel, renewable energies are particularly important and Mobarake steel has taken great steps in this field. The next steps in the development of this area will include the use of hydrogen and urban wastewater management to help sustain growth and protect the environment.
