In almost two years, i.e. 2015, a team of local experts institutionalized the technology without any aid from foreign experts.
He further said that the 2-ST44 and 2-ST37 grade sheets (1,000-1,500 mm in width and 3-12 mm thick) compatible with the DIN59220 standard are being mass-produced at the facility and supplied to local and foreign markets. “Fortunately, this product has satisfied customers.”
In conclusion, he thanked the MSC managing director, his deputies, and the top managers of the steel giant as well as the staff at Saba Steel Complex for their contribution to the project.
According to the correspondent of the Steel Newsletter, Shahram Abbasi, the R&D chief at Mobarakeh Steel Company, congratulated the management and staff members of the steel giant on the achievement and said, “In a move designed to promote research, the final week of the month of Azar [13-20 December] has been named Research and Technology Week.”
He said this year a fifth edition of the Research and Technology Festival was timed to coincide with this occasion. The minister of industries, mines and trade, senior officials of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and a number of MPs were on hand for the event at Tehran’s International Fairground during which research and technology awards were handed to top finishers.
He added MSC’s ribbed sheets won a prize as the top R&D product of the event. An accolade signed by the chairman of the festival and handed to MSC reads: “Those who strive on various research and scientific fronts are the harbingers of industrial progress and development in the country. The boom in the country’s production and commercial sector is based on the knowledge, expertise and endeavors of individuals who spend their lives on technological research and studies. We hereby congratulate the management and staff of Mobarakeh Steel Company on this achievement and pray to God for more success for them in the future.”
