India: JSPL Production Up & Sales Decline in Q2 FY'20

Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), one of India’s leading steel producer has released its steel output and sales figures today for Q2 FY’20 results.

Company’s crude steel output inch up by 1% in Q2 FY20- JSPL’s crude steel output from Indian operations witnessed a marginal increase of 1% in Q2 FY’20 to 1.58 MnT which was 1.57 MnT in Q1 FY’20.

Also on a yearly basis, the same surged by 16% in Q2 FY'20 as compared to 1.36 MnT in Q2 FY'19.

Company’s sales volume move down by 3% in Q2 FY’20- JSPL sales volumes move down by 3% in Q2 FY’20 to 1.46MnT against 1.51 MnT in Q1 FY’20.

Meanwhile on a yearly basis, the same reported an increase of 10% in Q2 FY'20 against 1.32 MnT in Q2 FY'19.

Also, Mr. VR Sharma Managing Director of JSPL shared that "The company is on track to deliver its highest ever volumes this year and with the ramp-up in production at Angul, we are confident of further accelerating the growth momentum in terms of production and sales."
