Outotec's contract value is approximately EUR 23 million and the order has been booked in Outotec's 2016 third quarter order intake.

Outotec's scope of work includes the design and delivery of five thickeners, one 3,500 kW Outotec HIGmill(TM) representing new stirred milling technology with significant energy savings, and fifteen Outotec TankCell® e630 flotation cells, the world's largest flotation cells. The new pyrite leach process will be installed at the existing concentrator plant to increase gold and silver recoveries from the zinc tailings. Outotec's deliveries will take place in 2017.

"We are pleased to have been given the opportunity to deliver advanced grinding, thickening and flotation technology for the Peñasquito mine. Our energy-efficient solutions for treating various precious metal ores are designed to meet the market demand for high-capacity production units with lower capital cost", says Kalle Härkki, head of Outotec's Minerals Processing business.
