Denmark considering joining INSTEX

Iranian ambassador to Denmark, Morteza Moradian cited local media saying, Danish government is considering joining Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX).

On his Instagram account, Moradian explained that INSTEX is a financial mechanism established by France, Germany and UK to facilitate trade between Iran and Europe and bypass US sanctions against Tehran.

According to the diplomat, Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeppe Kofod declared that his country is considering “technical details” of joining INSTEX.

Insisting on the importance of maintaining the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the foreign minister expressed his disappointment in US’ withdrawal from the deal and said, “We want to preserve Iran’s nuclear deal and we act towards it. We hope Americans respect our will.
