Indian Bulk Rebar Export Observes 0.2 MnT in FY19
Indian bulk rebar exports registered at 198,661 MT in FY19, as per vessel line up data maintained with SteelMint till Mar’19.
The major proportion of exports has been made by large scale producers as well as medium/small scale producers and the major volume has been exported from Southern region i.e. Krishnapatnam port at 101,000 MT with two bulk lots of 61,000 MT & 40,000 MT during Jul-Aug'18.
Meanwhile, exports from Chennai port, South India stood at 63,675 MT with maximum number of 5 lots followed by Gangavaram port at 20,300 MT.
As per vessel line up data, JSW Steel remained the largest exporter of bulk rebar which is acquired the major proportionate around 77% i.e. 152,300 MT in FY19.
In line, Beekay Steel has exported around 10,100 MT notified in medium scale mills and the favorable export destination has spotted to Hong Kong with 130,800 MT, followed by Myanmar at 37,600 MT and Taiwan at 17,500 MT.
