Japan’s Billet exports recorded at 0.32 MnT in Nov'18 unchanged as compared to previous month. However, the exports fell by 14% in the same month as against previous year at 0.37 MnT (Nov'17).
Further, the country's total Billet exports during Jan-Nov'18 stood at around 3.44 MnT, slightly fall by 5% which was about 3.64 MnT during Jan-Nov'17.
Taiwan remains the largest importer of Japanese Billet in Jan-Nov’18 with a contribution of around 47.43% (1.63 MnT), followed by South Korea 25.36% (0.87 MnT), Thailand 13.02% (0.45 MnT) & Philippines 5.30% (0.18 MnT).

--Japan’s crude steel output inch up by 1% M-o-M in Nov’18 and recorded at 8.65 MnT, which was 8.57 MnT in Oct’18. Meanwhile on Y-o-Y basis nation’s crude steel output remain stable in Nov’18 as against Nov’17.
-- Average Japanese H2 scrap prices stood at JPY 34,500/MT, FoB in Nov'18 which moved down further to an average of JPY 31,500/MT, FoB in Dec'18. Latest bid of Hyundai Steel for Japanese H2 stands at JPY 29,500/MT, FoB, down around JPY 2,000/MT (USD 19) M-o-M.
-- Japan's, Finish long steel exports declined by 12.45 M-o-M in Nov'18 and stood at 199,716 MT as against 228,130 MT in Oct'18. In line Y-o-Y, exports were fell by around 11% i.e. 224,241 MT in Nov’17.
