The ball mills for the Sungun Concentrator’s Phase 3 are strategic components of the grinding circuit; with a power rating of 21 megawatts each, they will become the largest ball mills used in the country's concentration plants upon installation and commissioning.
The Sungun concentration plant's Phase 3 project is currently underway with 68% physical progress; with an annual processing capacity of 21 million tons of sulfide ore, it will add 450,000 tons of copper concentrate to the country's annual production.
The arrival of this equipment marks a significant step toward completing one of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company’s major development projects and increasing production and processing capacity at the Sungun Copper Complex.
