IMIS 2016 in Dec.

The Second Iran Mines and Mining Industries Summit: Exploration, Development and Investment, otherwise known as IMIS 2016, is scheduled to be held in Tehran on December 11-12, 2016.

Among the prominent attendees will be managing director of Germany’s SMS Group GmbH, Burkhard Dahmen; executive vice president of Finland’s Outotec, Kalle Harkki; and CEO of Russia’s JSC EXIAR, Alexey Tyupanov, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported. By organizing the event, IMIDRO aims to attract foreign investments in the mining sector and spur cooperation between domestic mining firms and their international counterparts. This year’s edition of IMIS has gained more attention, as it is being held after the lifting of nuclear sanctions against Iran.
