Mosaic, which is headquartered in Minnesota and is one of the world's largest fertilizer producers, said there were no injuries and that the area in which the accident occurred was immediately isolated. The material neutralization process prevented leakage outside the facility.
The overflow happened two days after Mosaic's new Center for Disclosed Solutions in Uberaba opened.
