Kuwait releases Iranian vessel after 10 months
An Iranian vessel used in oil and gas industry which had been seized by Kuwait Coast Guard, was released on Sunday after 10 months.
Iran’s Tide Water Middle East Co., the owner of the vessel ‘Arvand Tide 1000’, said on Monday that the vessel which was seized on “unfounded allegations”, is on its way back to Iran from the Kuwaiti port of Shuaiba.
A Kuwaiti company had rented the vessel for 180 days.
After the end of the contract, the vessel was supposed to leave the port but Kuwait Coast Guard prevented the vessel from leaving and seized it for 10 months.
