Iran's Trade With Australia Grows 26%

Iran traded 89,066 tons of non-oil commodities worth $148.22 million with Australia during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year (March 21, 2018-Jan. 20), registering an 86.46% and 26.02% growth in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year's corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Australia stood at 13,143 tons worth $29.11 million, down 7.59% and 7.46% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year. 

Australia was Iran’s 47th export destination during the period.

Iran mainly exported floorings, dates, pistachios, polystyrene and alabaster to Australia during the 10-month period.

Australia exported 75,923 tons of goods worth $119.1 million to Iran, up 126.34% and 38.25% in tonnage and value respectively YOY. It was the 27th exporter of goods to Iran over the 10 months.

The imports mainly included lamb meat, coal, machinery and pod vegetables.
