Organised by Alba, the beach clean-up received strong support from its contractors and provided an opportunity for the volunteers to actively support the community.
Alba’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Ali Al Baqali, held a safety talk prior to the beach clean-up and made the volunteers aware of all safety measures to be maintained. Alba provided the volunteers and contractors with safety equipment such as gloves, caps and trash bags, water bottles as well as refreshments. Alba Healthcare Centre staff were also present at site to take care of any emergency during this activity.
Speaking at this occasion, Alba’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali said:
“As a leading industrial company in Bahrain, I believe it is our responsibility to set an example and encourage people to work towards preserving our Kingdom’s environment. Activities such as these foster the spirit of compassion and drive corporate social responsibility amongst our employees.
I also thank our volunteers and our contractors for their active participation in the Askar beach clean-up.”
The Askar beach clean-up was successful with the volunteers clearing waste and litter such as plastics, papers, cloths, debri etc. from the beach.
