me-metals: Logan Aluminium, USA, has been operating the world-fastest aluminuim cold strip mill –operating at speeds of up to 2200 m/min– supplied by Danieli, since 2019.
According to me-metals cited from mining.com, Recently, Logan Aluminium has ordered and commissioned a second DanPurity pressure plate type filtration unit with a capacity of 12,000 litres/min, to clean the coolant used to meet the demanding standards required by ultra-high speed rolling of can-stock material.
A second filter with an identical filtration capacity, was selected to allow Cold Mill #4 run continuously, avoiding the periodic stoppages that occur with a single filter for the cleaning/blowdown cycle.
F-Magnesium, which has been running a Fröhling four-hi mill in Taiwan for more than 30 years, now is also operating a DanPurity filter for top-quality processing of copper-alloyed strip.
