New CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company of Isfahan appointed

me-metals: By the approval of the Board of Directors of Mobarakeh Steel Company and in a meeting attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMIDRO, Saeed Zarandi was appointed as the CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company of Isfahan, and Mohammad Yaser Tayebnia's services were appreciated.

According to me-metals, By the approval of the Board of Directors of Mobarakeh Steel Company and in a meeting attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMIDRO, Saeed Zarandi was appointed as the CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Company of Isfahan, and Mohammad Yaser Tayebnia's services were appreciated.

Zarandi, who previously headed the Iranian Chemical Industries Investment Holding in Isfahan for three years in his most recent position, is a graduate of the University of Tehran in Mining Engineering and a Master's degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Tehran; he received his PhD in Public Administration with a Development Orientation from Allameh Tabatabaei University and is currently a member of the faculty of Allameh Tabatabaei University.

During his tenure as CEO of the Iranian Chemical Industries Company, Saeed Zarandi initiated important development projects, including the following, which are in their final stages:

  • Increasing the production capacity of alkylbenzene Lab2
  • Solar power plant
  • Ethylene diamine production plan
  • DETAL linear alkylbenzene product production plan with LAB technology

Zarandi's presence as Deputy Director of Planning and Programming at the Ministry of Interior and his experience in managing industrial and economic enterprises are among his strengths for assuming the new responsibility and leading the large Mobarakeh Steel Company.

It is worth noting that Dr. Zarandi has played a role in translating and authoring some books, including the following:

  • Principles of theoretical foundations for promoting administrative health and combating corruption

Saeed Zarandi worked for two years at the Information Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and then began working as the Deputy Secretary of the Steel Headquarters in 2005. Three years later, he was appointed as the Director General of the Statistics and Data Processing Office of the then Ministry of Industries and Mines. At the same time, he also assumed the responsibility of the Secretary of the Ministry's Production and Investment Monitoring Headquarters.

It was after the establishment of Alborz Province that he was introduced as the first head of the Industries and Mines Organization of this province and worked in this position until 2012. It was in the same Alborz Province that he was also appointed as the director general of the province's Communications and Information Technology. His views and pursuits regarding "communication between industry, universities and the commercialization of technological issues" opened his eyes to the Ministry of Science, and in the mid-1990s, he became the deputy director of technology commercialization at the Iranian Scientific and Industrial Research Organization in the Ministry of Science.

Shortly after, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs and Investment of the Steel Workers' Pension Fund and followed up on the mission of managing the companies affiliated with the fund. He worked as the CEO of the Payam Special Economic Zone and Airport for two years, and then in 2018, he was appointed as the Deputy Director of Planning and Programs of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade.

Until 1400 solar year (2021), Saeed Zarandi also served as deputy minister in the Government Economic Commission, the Resistance Economy Council, the Supreme Stock Exchange Council, the Free Zones Development Council, the Supreme Insurance Council, the Foreign Investment Council, and the Money and Credit Council.
