Iran Steel Production Rises %9.7/Global Output Up %10.6

During the first eight months of the current year, Global and Iran crude steel output up %10.6 and %9.7 respectively, World Steel Association announced.

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Iran steel production during the first eight months of current year was 20.4 Mt, registering a %9.7 growth compared with the corresponding period of the last year. Meanwhile, Iran still is the 10th biggest steel producer in the world, WSA reported.

During August 2021, Iran produced 2.5 Mt of crude steel which registering 8.7 percent growth compared with the August 2020, WSA declared.

Also, World Steel Association report shows that steel output of 64 steel producing countries during the first eight months of the current year stood at 1billion and 321.8 Mt, indicating a %10.6 growth compared with the corresponding period of the year before. Meanwhile, steel output of these countries during August 2021 were 156.8 Mt, down 1.4 percent YoY.

During this eight_month period, China with 733 Mt crude steel output(%5.3 annual growth),India with 77.7 Mt(%25.6 annual growth), Japan with 64 Mt (%17 annual growth),United States with 57.1 Mt (%19.5 annual growth ) and Russia with 50.8Mt (%7.7 annual growth) respectively were the world’s top 5 steel producing countries.
