The two automakers met with the organizers of the event to confirm their place at the last minute following months of speculation over whether or not they would attend the flagship event. IKCO and SAIPA skipped the last two shows in Tehran due to a lack of new vehicles, but this year with several new cars in production they have decided to come. The event, which will be held for the first time at Tehran's new international exhibition center Sun City (Shahr Aftab) south of the capital, is said to be the largest auto show in years, with several local and foreign carmakers showing their newest models. Other representing companies that will be present include Irtoya, Renault, Chery, Mammut Group, Mayan Group, Asan Motors, Atlas Khodro, Negin Khodro, Arian Motors, Afra Motors, Persia Khodro, MG, Kermania, Tavan Khodro, Brilliance Group and Raygan Khodro.
