The decision has delivered a negative message to the aluminium components suppliers for their US plants, as their role of the supply chain cannot be ignored.

Nissan had begun gradually resuming production operations at its Infiniti powertrain plant in Decherd, Tennessee last week.

The company stated that it would evaluate current market demand and supplier readiness before setting a restart date for the remaining plants.

Many automakers are expecting to resume the US production starting 18th May’20 after halting operations in late March’20.
