The Australian securities exchanges listed (ASX) Australian Bauxite company declared that it has started the delivery of 800 tonnes of its special fertilizer bauxite as part of an ongoing contract to regularly supply bauxite to a fertilizer production plant operated by Impact Fertilizers in Hobart.
This “just in time” delivery of fertilizer grade bauxite by ABx was required by Impact Fertilizers before Friday 3rd April because its stocks of ABx’s special bauxite product were low and production would have been curtailed, affecting its 50 direct employees, its supply of fertilizer to the agricultural industry and also interrupting Impact’s supply of a product used for fluoridation of Hobart’s water supply.
The resurgence of agricultural production in recent months due to the recent rains augers well for strong demand for fertilizer this year.
Australian Bauxite mine management, contractors and customers have implemented strict health safety protocols on arrival at the site, during production, loading, and transport to the fertilizer production facility in compliance with the national response to the “Coronavirus” pandemic.
The company is not planning any capital rising at this time. It continues to operate with its full workforce, whilst also adhering to restrictions imposed by the national Corona Virus Pandemic response.
Chief Operating Officer, Leon Hawker said: “ABx is proud of its reputation for reliable delivery on specification and on-time. The ABx team and Directors have an exceptional capacity for intense hard work on a 24/7 roster when needed. Enthusiasm and morale are high and the outlook is positive.”
