260 Development Projects Underway
Close to 260 development projects with a budget allocation of 163 trillion rials (about $4.14 billion at market exchange rate) are currently under construction, the deputy minister of roads and urban development said.
“These projects include nearly 50,000 kilometers of railroads and highways. Almost 86% of the budget have gone into projects with less than 50% physical progress and the remaining 14% to those with physical progress of over 50%,” Amir Amini was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
