China’s MCC restarts Ramu nickel plant in Papua New Guinea
A nickel processing plant in Papua New Guinea owned by Metallurgical Corporation of China (MCC) has restarted after a brief shutdown and is already operating normally, a spokesman for the company said on Monday.

MCC was last week given permission by the Papua New Guinea government to restart the plant, which was closed for not taking remedial actions after a spill in August, and will ramp up “step-by-step” to full production, the spokesman said.
