During the seven months to October 21, registering a 87% and 37% growth in volume and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, according to the head of the southern Iranian province’s Industries, Mining and Trade Organization, Khalil Qasemi. The exports included zinc, aluminum, steel, gypsum and cement, which were mainly shipped to India, the UAE, Thailand as well as several African countries. Hormozgan is home to 310 active iron ore, gypsum, salt, marble, fire clay and gravel mines with a total reserve of 27 million tons, IRNA reported.
