MSC Sales Projected to Exceed $3b by March 2020

Iran's biggest steelmaker Mobarakeh Steel Company's sales in the domestic market are expected to exceed 350 trillion rials ($3.07 billion) by the end of the current fiscal year (March 19, 2020), says the managing director of the company.

The steel mill, located in Isfahan Province, sold 200 trillion rials ($1.75 billion) worth of steel products in the domestic market during the first six months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Sept. 22), higher than the company’s total sales during the whole of last year (March 2018-19), Hamid Reza Azimian also told Tejarat Farda weekly in an interview.

MSC is the largest steelmaker in the Middle East and North Africa region and one of the largest industrial complexes operating in Iran.

Mobarakeh Steel Company had the largest share of steel production in Iran during the six months.

The company produced 4.34 million tons of finished steel during the period, 3% more compared with last year's corresponding period.

In addition, 4.72 million tons of semi-finished products were produced by MSC, unchanged year-on-year, the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization’s latest report shows.
