Bushehr-Doha Shipping Link by Oct. 22
A new cargo-passenger shipping link between Bushehr and Doha will be launched by the end of the Iranian month ending Oct. 22, following the completion of repairs at Doha passenger terminal and the finalization of issues related to allocation of subsidized fuel for the vessels in Iranian waters.
According to Director General of Ports and Maritime Directorate of Bushehr Province Siavash Arjomandzadeh, the new service, which has the capacity to transport 1,300 people and 700 vehicles, or a combination of 300 vehicles and 50 trucks, will operate twice a week, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development's news service reported.
The export of refrigerated commodities has also been planned.
