Farhad Eslami, the managing director of the complex, added one of the plans is an investment project to construct a plant for processing tailings produced in the grinding and pelletizing units of the Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex, which was handed over to the investor in February 2019, according to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization.
He noted that as per the project, following two years of conducting feasibility studies, the investor will build the plant in three years and, then, will put it into operation in 20 years.
Eslami said the investment contract of the other project pertaining to processing the mineral tailings of the complex was signed in June 2019.
He added the project comprises the same stages involved in the implementation of the other one: 1. Two years for carrying out feasibility studies; 2. Three years for the construction of the processing factory; and 3. Twenty years for putting the plant into operation.
Eslami put the complex’s iron ore aggregate production at 85,000 tons per year.
