Hassan Montazer-Torbati, the deputy oil minister for gas affairs, added more than 830 kilometers of gas pipeline will be built and 25 turbo compressors will be installed as parts of the projects to construct and develop 12 pressure booster installations during this period, Shana reported.
The official, who is also the managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company, noted that upon completion, these projects will help increase significantly the capacity of the country’s gas distribution grid, particularly, during the cold seasons, in which consumption reaches its peak.
Montazer-Torbati said the completion of these new projects, concurrent with the implementation of the plan to expand gas production capacity in South Pars Gas Filed in south Iran, is expected to help increase the sustainability of the country’s natural gas transmission and distribution network
