The first meeting took place between Oman’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Masoud Al Sunaidi and Iran’s Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade of Iran Reza Rahmani, Times of Oman reported.
The meeting reviewed bilateral trade indices, means of increasing trade exchange and direct investment between the two countries, as well as promoting bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate and the Islamic Republic in various economic fields, including minerals and labor force.
The meeting was attended from the Omani side by officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, while it was attended from the Iranian side by a number of officials from trade, mining and shipping sectors.
A second meeting was held between Oman’s Minister of Transport and Communications of Oman Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi and Rahmani and his accompanying delegates currently visiting Oman.
The two sides reviewed fields of enhancing cooperation in transport and communications sectors, in addition to discussing issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Oman’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Ports and Maritime Affairs Said bin Hamdoon al-Harthy and ministry officials.
