Public sector steel maker & India's largest pig iron manufacturer & exporter - NINL has reported fall in Pig iron output in May'19.
India: NINL Pig Iron Output Falls 16% in May

As per reports, NINL clocked hot metal output of 55,710 MT,  Pig Iron at 47,050 MT and Billet at 2,701 MT in May'19. In Apr'19, NINL reported Hot Metal production of 63,090 MT; Pig Iron output of 56,063 MT and Billet production at 2,523 MT.

On monthly premises company's pig iron output fell by 16% in May'19.

Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) witnessed 111% surge in its hot metal output for the last financial year ended March 31, 2019.

NINL’s hot metal production of 0.76 MnT is the best since its plant at Duburi in Odisha’s Kalinganagar Industrial Complex commenced commercial operations.

Pig iron production grew by 83.2% to 0.33 MnT, the steel mill's second-best since the date of starting commercial operations. Sinter output, too, witnessed a robust spike of 91.1% to reach 1.18 MnT.
