Vietnam Steel Mill Books 20,000 MT HRC from China
SteelMint in conversation with trade sources learned that, steel mills in Vietnam have recently booked imported HRC with China for June shipments.
As per an update received, Vietnam based steel mills namely Nam Kim Steel, Hoa sen and Tong Dong A (producing CRC ,galvanized and color coated coils) have concluded a deal of 20,000 MT of HRC (SAE 1006) with Chinese based Chunghung steel mill at USD 545/MT CFR Vietnam for June shipments.
In previous week, prevailing holidays in key countries like China, Japan and Vietnam amid May day holiday kept trades on lower side.
Thus currently imported HRC offers to Vietnam stood at USD 540-545/MT CFR basis however from Russia offers are on lower side at USD 535/MT, CFR.However post holidays Imported HRC offers to Vietnam remain largely stable with minimal changes.

1.HRC (SAE 1006) 2-3mm/Chinese offer - Magang steel is at USD 540/MT CFR Vietnam for June shipments.
2.HRC (SAE 1006) 2-3mm/Chinese offer - Baosteel steel is at USD 545/MT CFR Vietnam for June shipments.
3.HRC (SAE 1006) 2-3mm/Japanese offer - Nippon Steel is at USD 550-560/MT CFR Vietnam for June shipments.
4 HRC (SAE 1006) 2-3mm/ Indian offer - JSW Steel is at USD 542/MT CFR Vietnam for June shipments.
5. HRC (SAE 1006) 2-3mm/Korean offer - Hyundai Steel is at USD 560/MT CFR Vietnam for June shipments.
