India: Vizag Steel Invites Export Tender for Billet & Bloom to Nepal

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) - state-owned steel maker under the Ministry of Steel, has invited a tender for export of 10,836 MT Billets and 2,709 MT Bloom.

Interested bidders can submit their bids till 13 May ‘19 at 15:00 hrs. As per the delivery schedule, the last date of delivery shall be 15 June’19 on Ex-Works (EXW) basis to Nepal.

The offer given by the bidder will remain valid until 20 May’19.

Due date (India Standard Time): The due date for bid submission is 13 May ’19 till 15:00 hrs.

RINL's dull response to previous export tender to Nepal - The company had invited tender for export of 10,836 MT (equivalent to 4 rakes) Billet to Nepal on 5th Apr'19. The bid due date was on 16th Apr. As per sources, the company received a dull response for this tender as out of total allotted billets, only about 1 rake (2,709 MT) has been sold out to the highest bidder. As per participants, the highest bid for the tender was at USD 440-445/MT, however, post-negotiation it got settled at near to USD 450/MT ex-mill.
