IMIDRO: Iran’s annual iron ore concentrate output increased 17% by March

Iron ore concentrate production by major Iranian companies increased 17 percent year-on-year in the year to March 2019, exceeding 45 million tons, according to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

IMIDRO figures show that in this period, the country’s major companies produced 45.48 million tons of the product.

The figure amounted to 38.9 million tons in the same period a year ago.

Of the total iron ore concentrate output in the year to March 2019, 15.57 million tons pertained to Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.

The other major producers of the product in this period were Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company (8.88 million tons), Iran Central Iron Ore Company (5.3 million tons), Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (5.03 million tons), Gohar Zamin Iron Company (4.42 million tons), Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mineral (three million tons), National Industrial and Mineral Development Company (1.6 million tons), Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company (1.12 million tons) and Jalal-Abad Iron Ore Company 523,094 tons. 

 

Iron ore granule

IMIDRO report added in the same 12-month period, six major Iranian mining companies produced 6.3 million tons of iron ore granule, indicating a nine-percent growth year-on-year.

The companies’ total production of the product stood at 5.76 million tons in the same time span of the preceding year.

Sangan Iron Ore Complex, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company, Iran Central Iron Ore Company, Iranian Central Plateau Iron Ore Mines Complex, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company and Mishdovan Iron Ore Complex each accounted for 1.83 million tons, 1.64 million tons, 1.36 million tons, 999,381 tons, 403,764 tons and 62,232 tons of this figure respectively.
