Vietnam's Tong Dong Steel Plans To Increase Output by 20% in 2019
Vietnam based steel mill Tong Dong A Corporation - a flat steel specialist mainly producing galvanised steel coils (GI) and galvanised-aluminium steel coils (GL) is planning to to increase its output in 2019.
The company plans to reach at 7,20,000 MT of output from mill in CY'19 higher by 20% compared to previous year.
Currently the company has been developed under two phases.
In first phase 100,000 TPY installed GL production capacity and the second phase is 600,000 TPY of both GI and GL production capacity. Both phases are been operated in pickling lines.
Meanwhile last year company added GI square pipeline having the monthly output of 5000 MT.
Thus the company majorly sources HRC from local mills whereas CRC is been procured from POSCO.
Meanwhile currently company sells its products largely to domestic market and 40% of sales to exports. Thus company is trying to maintain the export ratios at similar levels in CY'19.
A representative from the company’s exports department quoted that, “We are expecting to see the company’s exports ratio grow to 45% and domestic sales to reduce slightly to 55% of our production in the years to come".
