POSCO CEO Ohjoon Kwon had a lunch meeting to encourage employees and strengthen communication management.
On June 28, CEO Kwon held a lunch meeting at POSCO Center, Seoul, with around 10 employees who have experienced Middle Eastern countries before or after joining POSCO Group, and shared matters to be noted for business in the area and growth potential of the market along with their unique experiences.
POSCO has been expanding its business partnership with the countries in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia and Iran since last year. The lunch meeting this time has also been organized by reflecting recently increased interest in the Middle East, to receive views and suggestions of the employees who have studied or worked in the area.
Participants each have experiences such as working at POSCO Dubai office or working for a cement company in Bahrain, and now are playing an active part in their own field based on their unique experiences.
“The success of an overseas business ultimately depends on “people.” You have to understand the local culture first if you want to successfully manage a business in the Middle East. I hope you continue to play an active role in the projects and teams related to the Middle East based on your valuable experiences,” said CEO Kwon.
Meanwhile, on June 22, CEO Kwon had met the members of 16th and 17th Young Board to receive reports on cases of work diet and how to build self confidence in employees.
