Iran, Poland Cooperation in Exploitation Mineral Reservoirs

KGHM , The mining & metallurgy company in Poland is ready to cooperate with IMIDRO. KGHM Company and IMIDRO discussed the ways to develop economic and technical cooperation in Tehran yesterday.

Chairman of IMIDRO and executive assistance of business development of KGHM (Jacek Kardela) had a meeting yesterday. KGHM has 60 years experiences in mine sector and is ready to cooperate with Iran in areas such as design of surface and underground mines, exploitation and processing, research, machinery production, designing copper smelting plant and supply explosives for mines sectors, Mehdi Karbasian said.

KGHM has been explored several mines with 1400 meters depth. KGHM has mining activities in Canada, USA and Chile and bought several mines there, he added.
KGHM is the largest silver producer, third Rhenuim producer and seventh copper producer all around the world. KGHM produced 580 thousand tones copper last year and is expected to reach one million tons by the year 2020, Kardela expressed.
IMIDRO has started exploration project with 250 thousands width in Iran and prepared primary situations for investors in mine and mining sector. Considering sanctions on Iran during the last years, supply financing for these projects are very important .If Poland government and KGHM Company want to cooperate in investment and knowledge transfer, there are many areas of cooperation in mine and mining industries sector, Karbasian declared.
Since KGHM has valuable international activities in mining & metallurgy sector we are interested in cooperating with this compny for investment in these sectors.There are cooperation opportunities from exploration to processing mines in several areas such as steel, copper, zinc, coal, gold sectors in Iran, Karbasian announced.
