Some 111 exhibitors took part in the joint event organized by Messe Stuttgart and the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) at the Boostan Goftegoo Exhibition Center in Tehran from May 30 to June 1 2016.
Exhibitors were primarily interested in renewing contacts and forging new contacts with trading partners and representatives who made up the total of 2,127 visitors, Mideast Plast–Plastics news for MENA region—reported.
“The success of the first AMB Iran proves that it was a good strategy to enter the developing market of Iran with the successful brand,” concluded Ulrich Kromer, CEO of Messe Stuttgart.
“The good international networking of VDW, our experience in staging symposiums and the excellent cooperation with Messe Stuttgart were the main factors which contributed to the success of the first event,” added Wilfried Schafer, managing director of VDW.
Exhibitors reported satisfaction with the caliber of visitors at the first AMB Iran. Indeed, 86% of visitors classified themselves as belonging to industry and 95% claimed to be directly involved in purchasing and investment decision-making.
The most widely represented areas were automotive (33%), components suppliers (13%) and molding (9%). Lively discussions were held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

The next AMB Iran will be held from May 23 to 26, 2017, at the recently-opened new trade fair center in Tehran named Shahr-e-Aftab Complex.
