Gold Mine’s Proven Reserves Increase
About 1 million tons have been added to Mouteh Gold Mine’s proven reserves after new mineral discoveries were made in the region, Ali Asgharzadeh, an official with the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization said on Saturday.
According to Asgharzadeh, Mouteh possesses 1.2 million tons of proven gold reserves with a grade of 4 grams per ton. Iran’s first exploited deposit of the precious mineral, Mouteh Gold Mine is located in Meymeh County in Isfahan Province.
