Karimi Tabbasi, who is in charge of the Lithuanian consulate in Iran, said on Sunday that Lithuania is interested in development of cooperation with Iran in economic fields.
Iran has the capacity to produce and export three billion dollars of pharmaceutical raw materials, Karimi Tabasi added.
He made the remarks in a ceremony held to celebrate Lithuania Independence Day.
Lithuanian policy towards Iran is quite clear and Vilnius wants to preserve the level of relations with Iran, the envoy added.
He noted that issuance of visa for Iranian traders has been facilitated and the two countries' investors are welcomed.
Late in May 2016, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Lithuanian counterpart Linas Linkevicius in a meeting in Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to broaden political consultations between the two countries.
