Daimler Group has announced the production of new Mercedes-Benz vehicles on the assembly line at its Hambach plant in France, in addition to the current smart fortwo model.

This major project, which represents a €500 million investment by the Daimler Group, includes the conversion of the existing line, currently dedicated to the manufacture of the Smart, for the production of the new Mercedes-Benz vehicle, and a new workshop in which the smart Fortwo, exclusively electric, will be produced from 2020 onwards. This extension will double the size of the site.

Fives will supply three latest generation RapidCharge® M Elite machines and will adapt to new needs the existing RapidCharge® machines, supplied by the Group in 2012 and 2015.

This contract testifies that Daimler Group trusts the Filling | Sealing teams for their expertise in transforming machines and supplying high-performance fluid filling equipment.
