"Iran is always keen to negotiate with India and welcomes the country's suggestions," Zarif said in New Delhi on Wednesday after his meetings with senior Indian officials.
The Iranian foreign minister reiterated that Tehran and New Delhi are discussing India's investment in Iranian gas and oil sector, and reiterated that Iran would welcome the move.
Zarif said that Tehran and New Delhi can cooperate to serve each other's interests.
The Iranian foreign minister underlined that Iran needed the Indian goods and services while India was in need of Iranian resources and services as well.
The Iranian foreign minister also expressed happiness that Iran's Pasargad Bank and India's UCO Bank were in close cooperation.
He further expressed the hope that in spite of the US unilateral sanctions against Iran, Tehran and New Delhi would be able to expand cooperation with each other.
The Iranian foreign minister, heading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation, is in India to participate in Raisina Dialogue, which is a multilateral conference annually held in New Delhi. Since its inception in 2016, the conference has emerged as India's flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-economics.
