Confederation of Indian Industry is willing to cooperate in implementation, renovation and marketing of Iran’s mineral and mining industries products.

Manageing director and managers of 18 major firms of CII headed by Naushad Forbes, president of CII, met Mehdi Karbasian, Chairman of the board of IMIDRO, in Tehran on Tuesday.
India’s Vice President is going to visit Iran and will meet Iran’s high rank officials, therefore this cooperation is to prepare the conditions for expansion of bilateral ties, Forbes announced.
He mentioned the joint cultural and economic ties between Iran and India. Cooperation in mine sector of other countries such as Afghanistan. Exploration, technology, marketing and market development in Iran mines and mining industries sector have high growth potentials therefore, we are here to benefit from these potentials, he added.
Regarding to CII’s international experiences, it has favorable conditions for implementation of joint mineral projects, so Iran and India has comprehensive plan to use Chabahar port for cooperation expansion, Forbes continued.
Finance and direct or joint investment could prepare bilateral cooperation. IMIDRO is ready to broaden ties with India in mining downstream industries, exploration, environment, water and infrastructure sectors such as construction of port, Karbasian said.
